The most explosive part of last night’s debate
Last night’s Southern Republican Debate started out with quite the bang. The first question of the night was about Newt Gingrich’s ex-wife’s claims about an “open marriage” (a little tacky, in my opinion, but I figured it would happen…). Newt did not appreciate John King’s question:
Spilling Newt’s secrets
So apparently Marianne Gingrich, one of Newt Gingrich’s ex-wives, has a “bombshell” interview airing on ABC tonight, and she spills all regarding Newt’s infidelities and his desire for an “open marriage.” I think it’s kind of a tacky move on this woman’s part, but it honestly doesn’t surprise me. Everyone knows that Newt does not have the best track record when it comes to his personal life and marriages marriage. I don’t think it’s necessary for an ex to come forward with personal details like this, but we see this kind of thing all the time.
Anyways, as we anxiously await the release of the interview in its entirety, I figured I’d share my favorite Tweet of the day. The award goes to LZ Granderson (who else?) for his somewhat-mean-yet-everyone’s-thinking-it Tweet about the whole “open marriage” situation:
